About the Council
The Governing Council of the Open and Distance Learning Council (ODLC) is the apex statutory body responsible for institutional oversight, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance. It functions under the Act XXI of 1860 and operates in alignment with national education policies and global governance standards.
The Council comprises distinguished professionals from education, law, public administration, and finance. It ensures transparency, academic autonomy, fiscal responsibility, and alignment with frameworks such as National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, and other statutory requirements.
