It functions as a recognized academic body committed to promoting open and distance education, in alignment with national policies and global best practices.

ODLC offers a wide spectrum of programs including secondary and senior secondary education, skill development, vocational training, early childhood care and education (ECCE), teacher education, and professional upskilling. Its certification systems are structured to meet the requirements of academic equivalency, industry relevance, and regulatory compliance.

With a mission to bridge the educational divide and empower individuals through technology-driven, learner-centric frameworks, ODLC supports learners, educators, and institutions through a robust network of study centers, online platforms, and collaborative initiatives.

ODLC is an autonomous institution legally registered under Indian law. While not directly a government body, ODLC operates in compliance with Indian regulations and is working towards formal recognition and equivalency with national (UGC, AIU, NCVET, COBSE, MHRD, etc.) and international bodies (Pearson BTEC, Ofqual-UK, etc.).

ODLC is legally constituted under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It has independent legal standing to offer educational programs, certifications, and institutional affiliations.

ODLC operates under Indian legal provisions for open and distance learning. ODLC is actively pursuing recognition, equivalency, and collaborations with UGC, AIU, NCVET, COBSE, and international agencies. Recognition status is regularly updated on the website as approvals progress.

ODLC certifications are issued under its autonomous legal status. Acceptance for government jobs or higher studies depends upon respective department, university, or recruitment body’s policies. We strongly recommend candidates verify specific eligibility from respective authorities.

Yes. ODLC is working with global academic frameworks and partners such as Pearson BTEC (UK), Ofqual (UK Regulator), and other international skill councils for certification equivalency, international recognition, and cross-border academic collaboration.
